He received a Bachelor of Theology Degree from McKinley Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, a Doctor of Ministry and a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from Friends International Christian University. He has an anointed calling on his life, which has caused the congregation to surpass 7,000 faithful members, incorporated several seasonal institutes and revivals, nurtured numerous community outreach programs and implemented 50 active-in-house ministries.

Bishop Brister is a committed and motivated man of God with a deep hunger for winning souls for Christ. He is committed to serving God, dedicated to follow wherever God may lead and excited as God continues to do "A Brand New Thing" within his life and ministry.
